Eggs

Carrying eggs is a tricky business. Though if you are about to be hit by a bus, don't think too much about them.

Oh well... I so know what you mean. Have to move around Cal streets precariously clutching books and wallets, you see.

Fidgety, the ultimate test anyone can put you through is to carry a basket of eggs across a street.

Hmmm... when am I in Cal next?

I don't get it. Eggs is eggs, bus is bus, and should ever the twain meet, keeping watch from a distance is probably the best idea anyway ... !

I'm curious: what prompted this post? Is there a story? A random musing? A soon-to-be-published short story? What?

I went to buy a dozen eggs yesterday and on my way back crossing the road, this bus came charging towards me like a raging bull and I thought to myself - Oh hell, these eggs are going to be squished!

... yes, I NOW know, eggs is eggs.

but you can't make an omlette without breaking and egg. and, it's smart to get some of the job done on the way home... and you can still keep some for shampoo..

Well, I said if you are 'about' to be hit by a bus. That implies you maybe able to dodge it at the last moment. In that case, yes, I can expect you to find NEW eggs. :)
