Oh no! I didn't mean it that way. I meant to imply that I did alot of documenting type photography in college, nothing artistic. Which basically means sheer quanity and donkey work. By knowing how to work a camera I mean getting the focus and framing etc right without much effort. I won't say much about quality though. :)
I'm not 'into' photography as some of my friends are (Check out Cairo Dusk on my panel - he's really talented) but I take a photograph or two here and there. My SLR is the Canon E0S 500 and my digital camera is the Nikon Coolpix 5900.
Are you 'into' photography'? What camera do you use?
As for using the word "into" - I wasn't sure what other word to use, although things like "Do you _like_ photography" or "Do you photograph much" did pop into my mind... :) So yes, I'm 'into' photography. I use a Canon SD 550 digital and a Pentax MX classic film SLR.
Cairo dusk has some great shots - I like his composition style. Somehow, I never take people shots like those :)
Perhaps. Its funny actually. I live in London but don't really know the Brits much at all. I have *thinks* maybe *thinks hard* _one_ white British friend. Haha. But I move to a sunny sunny place in August. Yay!
Well, the desi cliques that way are very welcoming towards other new desis. The question is whether you really want to spend all your time talking in hindi and lamenting over the absence of ghar ka khana etc. I mean, I prefer to seize the opportunity of being overseas and explore things while I have the chance.
Actually, I go to a _really really_ international school and at the graduate level, there are very few Britishers. And my programme is especially more international. So I have friends from pretty much all over the world. They're an interesting bunch.
I move to California in August. Unless I change my mind.
I *SO* agree. My own school's pretty international and some of my closest friends are from diverse places. Desi cliques are really nice and welcoming et al - but to an extent.
I'm a little slow on the uptake, what can I say. :)
I don't have any LA loyalties yet so try me a while from now and that might provoke me. Though Sfo I believe is gorgeous. My brother visits ever so often. What do you do there (or are you concealing your identity)?

fuzzy things never go out fashion
You would hope.
well, i guess bunny slippers and stuffed animals are always welcome as presents. no matter how old you get..
but what I'd REALLY like to know is how you managed to take that photograph of your feet - and got it right on counts of focus and positioning :)))
Let me just say I KNOW how to work a camera. I took up photography in college not as a hobby but as slave. Sad but true.
(They're not bunny slippers. They're plain furries.)
The argument whether they're bunny ones or plain furris, is simply hilarious!
_mock consternation_ ok ok.. I wasn't implying that you didn't :)
oh you're into photography? sweet. do you do specific compositions or is it more random? and which camera do you use?
(right, bunny, furries.. same difference, methinks)

Jerry,
These are serious matters.
Ah *that* way.. Right.

What sort of photography are you 'into'?
Gosh. Blogger hasn't got its act together yet. My second to last comment also talked about..
"Is it me or do you have *tiny* feet?"
Or did you not want that coming out publicly? :))
Lol. I'm not a very large person. Though the reason my feet look really tiny in that photo is because the furries are free size.
Your smileys have an awful lot of chins huh.
You know you're a girl when that is still considered age-appropriate. :P
Hahaha. Those aren't *extra* chins. Please.
Emoticons 101, dear SA, is the class you're in dire need of..
*confused*
confused about?
emoticons 101 - as in, an introductory class on internet smileys and well, emoticons.. 'emotional icons'?
I know what emoticons are, but 101 I didn't understand. :)
Heh, I think '101' an American thing. The Brits in their infinite wisdom probably call it the 'The jolly rum introduction to blah' class.
Perhaps. Its funny actually. I live in London but don't really know the Brits much at all. I have *thinks* maybe *thinks hard* _one_ white British friend. Haha. But I move to a sunny sunny place in August. Yay!
Lol. You know, thats one thing I've always noticed - unless you try hard enough, you'll end up in a clique of desis. Wonder why.
Sunny sunny place? Where to? Surely not the Western Sahara..
;)

Hehe California eh - *small* world. :) Wherein?
LA. Small world? Who else is in California?
Wait.. you're in California.
*realisation dawns*
Where in California?
*Blink, blink, .. buhlink* :) Lol, you needed 3 comments for that? tsk tsk.
Yep, I'm in CA too. The San Francisco bay area though. Which, based on recent experiences, is so much more beautiful than LA :P
I'm a little slow on the uptake, what can I say. :)

Right, I'll make sure you get needled over the year!
Hehe, no I'm not concealing my identity - only on public forums because of google. Do you have a gmail address?
As for what I do - I'm just someone in technology (surprise surprise :)
ah your bro's in the US too?
Yup.
heh. you have comment notification too?
Comment _moderation_? Yes.
Oh you don't.

dude, your legs are fuzzier than those bunny slippers. shave, will ya? make 'em shiny and slithery... like a snake.
Dear Anon,
Much as I appreciate the unsolicited advice and your time spent zooming in on the photograph, I like my legs this way.
*choke gasp sputter*
hahahahahaha.
